Outdoor Cats
OUTDOOR CAT MONTHS Spay/Neuter assistance is offered for outside cats from March 1st – October 31st ONLY.
Between November 1st and February 28th, we will not provide funding for spay/neuter surgeries for outdoor cats because of the cold weather. After anesthesia, the cat cannot regulate its body temperature for a period of time, so it cannot be put outside in the cold weather immediately. The only exception to this would be if you can lock the cats in a heated building for at the following periods of time: 3 days for males; 3 weeks for females.
